England vs Russia by MagicRat

England's first game sees them take on a Russia side that doesn't really impress and without some of their proven players they will likely struggle in this tournament.

England come into the tournament in good form having won all three friendlies they have played in the last month with two of these matches having over 2.5 goals and the game prior to that against The Netherlands also had over 2.5 goals as they lost 2-1.

Russia, on the other hand, have not won in their last three matches, although they have scored in all three matches but they conceded two and four in 2-1 and 4-2 losses.

England are a very good team going forward with the likes of Delle Alli capable of picking a team apart and with Vardy and Kane in great form this a team with goals in them. The problem for England, however, is at the back where they struggle and have lapses of concentration and make silly mistakes. A Russia side without the likes of Kerzakhov and Dzagoev can still find their way to England's goal purely because of England's poor performances in defence, therefore I'm going for over 2.5 goals.
