Laura Robson vs Larcher de Brito by ReguLator
Aegon Open, Nottingham
Laura Robson (GBR) - Larcher de Brito (POR)
Another talented and very promising player who had serious injury. Laura Robson suffered a lot because of a problem in her wrist. Slowly-slowly she is coming back.
Grass seems to be her favourite surface; she won the junior's competition at Wimbledon.
Today I watched the game of her opponent, de Brito, against Hlavackova. It could have ended in either way as it progressed in the end with de Brito winning the tiebreak in the 3rd set.
As I believed would happen de Brito made Hlavackova to run with her ferocious backhand and she could not follow most of the times. I noticed a weak service from de Brito and Robson has a great forehand return. This combined with her strong service I think will give the British the edge in the game.
There is something that forces me to low-medium stakes. Her service although strong is no that stable and she is not fully back yet.
I managed to watch some recent highlights with Robson and she performed well; some great forehands and superb returns. If she reaches that level I don't think she will face serious problems.
Laura Robson to win match.
