The double-headed eagle of the North is on fire at the moment only being beaten three times in their last 20 home fixtures, and two of those fixtures were of course against the Greek champions, Olympiacos, the most successful club in Greek football history. Now I know it's totally beside the point, but Olympiacos has won 27 Greek Cups, four Greek Super Cups and 43 Greek League titles. It's insane, because all the other Greek clubs have won a combined total of 37 League titles, and just this team has won 43. Impressive, but that just shows why PAOK got defeated twice in their 20 last fixtures, and the third defeat was at home against Iraklis.
Both teams are currently in the Super League play offs, and there are four teams in that group that all aim for qualification for the Champions League. Panathinaikos and PAOK are currently sharing the first place with seven points from their last three fixtures with five goals scored and two goals conceded. AEK is next with five points from their last three fixtures with only two goals scored and five goals conceded. Last is Panionios with only One point from their last three fixtures with only one single goal scored and four goals conceded.
Panionios' form of play looks like something we've seen before a few times. They have given up on the qualification to the Champions League, because it'll be no picnic for them to achieve nine points from their next three fixtures. No matter what, they have been qualified for the Europa League - they all have, and that's good enough for Panionios. Do not expect much from Panionios. They never score many goals in away fixtures - hell, they don't even do that at home, and since they are now qualified for the Europa League and can't make it to the Champions League, the defence and offensive won't be strong in this upcoming fixture where they visit PAOK.
PAOK, however, has everything to play for. They have a solid chance of getting qualified for the Champions League, since they're welcoming Panathinaikos at home in their last fixture. Last time they welcomed Panathinaikos at home was in the end of 2015 where they beat them 3-1. So to even get there, they have to win this game against Panionios, and do not expect a single goal-margin in this match.
As PAOK has everything to play for, I'm going to back them at an asian handicap of -1 at 1.68.
