Romania vs DR Congo by ScandinavianSR
The Tricolours has played tremendously good over the past few years, and their team is only getting stronger. They haven't been defeated one single time in 2015 and only once in 2014. Losing one single time in two years is solid work, and they're in a very good form of play. Being undefeated in 16 matches, Romania are ready to crush their guests at home. The Tricolours recently welcomed Spain at home, and even though Spain with Pique, Pedro, Koke, Alba, Paco and Silva on the team were favourites, they couldn't beat Romania. In fact, they haven't been able to since 1996. Romania played a solid first half with Spain dominating the second, but it wasn't enough to break down Romania's strong defence.
They welcome DR Congo, a Sub-Saharan African team that has only qualified for the FIFA World Cup once way back in 1974. It is safe to say that the quality of the teams in Africa aren't as good as they are in, let's say, Europe. And even though The Leopards has won the Africa Cup of Nations three times, they are not able to hold up a record of being undefeated in 16 matches like Romania. They've won their last five fixtures after being defeated by Cameroun 3-1, any they're typically not that good in away fixtures.
We can do nothing more than expect Romania to win this fixture at home, and since they're going to play Euro 2016 and 2018 World Cup soon, they will need a few more victores to back up their self-confidence. They're going for the undefeated-in-20-matches-record, and that's just one of the many reasons that I'm backing them at 1.68.
