Liverpool vs Sevilla by Aditya9920

Liverpool had a good premier league season since Kloop became in charge, but an excellent Europa league season compared to premier league and other England league cups.Liverpool also brushed aside fourth placed Villarreal at Anfield in the semi-final and were deemed unlucky in some quarters not to have won the first leg and those performances will give them confidence that they can more than match everything that the Spanish have to throw at them. They have also risen to the occasion in some big matches this season and not only in this competition where they have also beaten Dortmund (OMG !! What a match that was) and Manchester United but domestically where they only lost two of their eight games against the top four. Joseph Gomez, Danny Ings, Divock Origi and Jordan Rossiter are injured and all of them will not play for sure. Mamadou Sakho is suspended and he also will not play in Basel. Jordan Henderson is unfit and he is another one player who cannot play.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:

Mignolet; Moreno, Toure, Lovren, Clyne; Milner, Can; Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana; Sturridge

On the other side, no one needs to explicitly say how strong the Sevilla side are and they are the reigning champions of Europa cup for the last 2 years. But the only reason I think Sevilla are on back foot this season is their very very disappointing away record this season. They have not won a single away match in the entire la liga season (even lost few matches to the relegated teams with the first team on the field). The only away win this season comes against Bilbao, another spanish side in the Europa league. Liverpool's back five is not exactly the most solid of foundations either, which gives Kevin Gameiro, who leads the way for Sevilla with seven goals in this competition, a excellent chance to open the scoring. One more issue with the goal scoring for Sevilla is that only six other players barring Gamiero have contributed to scoring, whereas 11 players in the Liverpool side have scored goals.

Sevilla possible starting lineup:

Soria; Mariano, Rami, Carrico, Escudero; N Zonzi, Krychowiak; Coke, Banega, Vitolo; Gameiro

I see from the momentum Liverpool has now, I see a hard fought win for them. Both teams to score seems to be another good option but I think over 2.5 goals would be a better risk, given the defensive weakness of both the sides than risking BTTS.

All the Best :)pin

the weakest link of sevilla goalee Soria which could be decisif.
the errors what he made in the game against atletic bilbao unforgivable.
i am not sure if he be able to handle stress of the final.
i hope Emery will put Rico today however with David Soria most likely will be draw.
