Norwich vs Watford by GreekGuru
Even though Watford is currently sitting 13th, they still have a chance of finishing up to 9th, and they can even sit at 11th place after today's games if they beat Norwich and Everton does not beat Sunderland. They have the 7th best defence in the League, only worse than the top 5 teams and Southampton. On the other side, they are the 4th worse attacking force in the league, after Aston Villa, West Brom and Norwich City themselves. They are without their long time absentees Capoue and Behrami and they want to end their bad run of away form, where they lost 3 out of their last 3 away games.
Norwich City, on the other side, are most probably going down with Aston Villa. A Sunderland win today will mean that they are relegated, which may demotivate the players during the game, increasing the chances for a Watford win. They have not scored in their last 4 games and have only scored 3 goals in their past 8, they do not look at all like a team that will manage to escape from relegation at this moment. Just as two years ago, they did not look like going down earlier in the season, but a terrible second round form has brought them in this situation. If you have watched them play, you will understand what I am trying to explain. They are probably playing even worse football than Aston Villa at the moment and I do not think that they will somehow magically rediscover some sort of form that will keep them up. They are playing without Howson, Klose and Tettey (all injured).
Taking into account that this game features 2 of the 4 worst attacking forces of the Premier League, as well as the defensive effort of Watford this season and how better a team Watford are, I will go with Watford winning and under 2.5 goals today, hoping to avoid only the 0-0 draw. Any goal coming from Sunderland in the other game will further demotivate Norwich so we would wish that such thing will happen before the half time so they know that they are not hoping for anything.
