Dundalk seem to have hit their usual dominant stride that has seen them become the team to beat over recent years. Currently on a 5 game winning streak it would be a shock if they were unable to extend this to six with a home win over lowly Bray Wanderers on home soil. The place which has become such a fortress for them lately. Dundalk have only suffered 2 home league defeats since the 2013 season, one this season against their title rivals Cork City and a shock loss to Bohemians last season. A loss to Bray is out of the question but Dundalk have bagged some early goals so far this season and with 24 goals from 11 games already Dundalk could easily be in command by the time the half time whistle sounds.
Missing for Dundalk will be striker Ciaran Killduff but importantly Ronan Finn and David McMillan should be fit to play with these two being the big goal threats since the sale of Richie Towell to Brighton.
The away team have had an as expected start to the season. They are a little like the Aston Villa of the Irish Premier League, always managing to survive another season but sooner rather than later their luck should expire. Whether this season or not. They did, however, manage to bink a 1-0 home win against St Pat's recently but have since gone down twice to two 2-0 losses against Shamrock Rovers & Cork City.
Wanderers have netted 2 goals in the first half so far with their other 5 being scored in the 2nd half. A goal is always possible at any point but a Dundalk lead at half time is likely with Dundalk's tight defense and potent attack.
