Club Brugge vs Anderlecht by Gilles
Club Brugge hosts Anderlecht, the two remaining candidates for the title in the highest division of Belgian football, at Jan Breydel Stadium, Brugge.
Club Brugge comes from 1-4 victory at Gent. Gent played a good first half, created most of the chances and could open the score. Club Brugge had only one good chance and tied with it, 1-1, the half time result, but with some more luck for Gent it also could be 3-0 or 3-1 at the pauze. In second half Club Brugge, and Izquierdo (1 goal, 2 assits) on his own, played away Gent in first 15 minutes.
Anderlecht comes from close 2-1 win over Oostende. Anderlecht was big favorite to win the game (@1.40) after big lose away against Oostende (4-2), but Oostende had the better chances in the first half coming 0-1 ahead. In the second half Oostende had also chances to make 0-2, but with some savings from Nuytinck from the goalline he kept Anderlecht in the game. Anderlecht had many bad passes, lost many duels on the midfield, etc, Anderlecht became better in the second half (with Suarez) with more possession and pressure but they could not create really good chances to score; the finishing was missing, Oostende defended also well, in the 16 Anderlecht could not do much with the ball. Anderlecht scored first goal on penalty with Tielemans, and second goal with a header from Okaka in extra time.
No official information on selection yet, there are no reports of players with injuries so I expect the teams from previous week.
I don't see Anderlecht winning at Club Brugge, Club Brugge only lost 1 game this season at home, and it was against Anderlecht 1-4 but unless Anderlecht is hidding their qualities to show next Sunday I don't see them repeating that outcome. Club Brugge can play champion if they win, so they have big motivation and Monday everybody has free day, so they can set up a party for all night too.

Note: another very save bet, I guess, is Club Brugge to win title in Belgian football @1.33. Club Brugge leads with 3 points atm and after the Anderlecht game they face 2 'little' teams of Play-offs, at Zulte-Waregem (Club won 5-0 at home) and host Oostende (Club won 0-1 away). Club has also advantage of 0.5 point rule after regular competition, Anderlecht will lose 0.5 point if both teams end equal in points, so Club Brugge get title if they finish with equal points. Anderlecht can only win title if they start with a win at Brugge, which I doubt they will do. They also have to visit the more difficult Genk (close victory at home for Anderlecht 1-0 with mistake of Genk goalkeeper) and receive Zulte-Waregem on last day (Anderlecht won 1-2 away).
