ATP Masters Rome
Alexnder Zverev - Grigor Dimitrov
A pretty intriguing matchup we have here.
Momentum wise we have a bit of a difference. While the young german seems extremely steady and up to the task during 2016, as he's just 19, he's already playing only ATP tournaments and he only lost once in the 1st round, to Andy Murray in Australian Open ... the bulgarian is yet to make the next step in proving his talent.
While Dimitrov made more ATP points during this year (also due to his better ranking/better draws), it seems like Zverev has collected better scalps this year.
The german is coming of a semifinal lost to Thiem in 3 sets in Munich and a week of rest. The bulgarian is coming of a lost final in Istanbul where he went crazy and turned viral with his succession of braking racquets, followed by a 2 straight sets defeat in Madrid to Pablo Carreno-Busta.
Matchupwise I think Dimitrov has a lot to oppose to his today opponent, as he proved before, in their 2 previous encounters. When Zverev was 16 Dimitrob beat him in 3 sets. This year the german won, also in 3 sets,, in Indian Wells.
I think we have a meeting between two guys both capable to serve big, both capable to stay in the rallies but both capable to dissapear from the match for a few games.
This only leads me to the idea that their two previous threesetters will be followed by the third.
While for my daily followers I've tipped Zverev&over 22.5 games @ 3.50 odds (local bookie), I'm gonna recommend you to trust the 1.78 odds offered by Pinnacle for over 22.5 games in the match.
