Novak Djokovic vs Kei Nishikori
From the begining I want to state that this is a matchup that favors the world no1, as anything Special Kei cand do on the court Novak can do even better. As far as The Serbinator will serve at his standards, the japanese won't have a edge when retrieving. On the other hand, Nishikori will be depending on his first serve, as with the 2nd he's vulnerable and he's gonna be fiercely stroke by the world's greatest returner.
In the past half of a year these two guys met 3 times and all those 3 matches were won by Djokovic in straight sets with no tiebreaks.
Yesterday Novak won in 19 games the QF against the big serving canadian Milos Raonic, in 1h45min, while the japanese had a much longer match, wining in 2h38min a marathon against Nick Kyrgios (2 tie-breakers included).
So a better rested Novak will play in the same conditions he played the whole week (evening session) against a likely tired Kei which played all week in the day session.
Changing conditions and coming after a tough QF won't help Nishikori change his luck against world no1.
Under is my pick for today's match.
Let's go green!
