Stage Winner vs Stage Winner by Gilles

Today is second stage of Giro d'Italia from Arnhem to Nijmegen 190 km long. Their can be wind on the the racetrack so maybe not all riders stay together. There is one climb that can be neglected cause its only 1.1 km ( max. 11%) long about 40 km before finish, the riders enter in the final of the race a 'city circuit' for 2 rounds of 8.6 km, with a bridge to cover and a 350m big straight road to the finish. This race is likely to end in a sprint. Main favorite is Marcel Kittel for EQS to win this stage cause he is concidered the best sprinter in the peleton. Other good sprinters are Greipel for LTS, Viviani for SKY, Ewan for OGE, Nizzolo for TFS, Demare for FDJ, Modolo for LAM and others.

I think Kittel will win this stage because yesterday he showed great form. Kittel was 5th in the prologue with a great performance in the individual time trail which surprised some only ending 11 seconds behind the winner Dumoulin. Kittel has clearly set his mind to wear pink jersey one or more days. With extra seconds to earn on finish for first 3 riders this might be possible if Kittel can win some early stages. With form and motivation he showed in prologue, I see Kittel win to today if no troubles happen to him or his teammates.

Kittel eyes pink jersey, so he will put all energy to win today. And sad that in this Giro no real contenders for him.

doubt if any rider in the world really could contend Kittel today, maybe if Kittel make mistake and others, someone like Greipel, position perfect
