Bayern vs Atletico Madrid by FP
Away from the Vicente Cauldron Atletico lose their 12th man - the fans. That advantage goes to Bayern Munich as the Allianz Arena will be screaming on their side and will boo every time wasting attempt made by Atletico.
Whilst I do think that Bayern will find a way through eventually, Atletico are always capable of scoring on the break and an away goal for Atletico would mean that Bayern Munich need to score three goals to progress. If Atletico score then they should make the final.
Guardiola and Bayern Munich have failed at the semi final stage for the last two seasons and making it three in a row would be seen as a failure for the manager. Looking at the first game I am not sure that the same motivation and intensity is there from his players, maybe because they know that Guardiola is leaving for Manchester City in a few weeks. I don't think that the players like him much, his decision to drop club icon Thomas Muller to the bench for the first leg certainly did not go down too well and Guardiola took a lot of stick from the German media.
The lack of an away goal for Munich is key and they may pay the price. I will be backing Atletico to qualify for the final which they will do as long as they don't lose by two clear goals. Backing Atletico Madrid just to qualify includes via extra time and penalties if needed as long as they make the final.
