England vs Sri Lanka
England recorded a record win against South Africa, chasing 230 runs. They came back well after Gayle's blitz in the previous match. In the last match against Afghanistan, they almost lost the game and at one stage were 55-7, but Moenn Ali's innings helped them to come back. One major reason why England failed were because of the very hot temperature in Delhi, as most members of their never experienced such a heat, especially Roy, Vince, Stokes, Buttler. They also look to play well against spin as they were clueless against Afhan's bowling attack.
One can't explain the sorrow state Sri Lanka are currently in. They have no idea on how to play cricket at international level. Barring Dilshan, Chandy, Mathews rest of the batsmen are useful for nothing, especially Kapugedara, who was playing international cricket since 7 years and still struggle take a single when field is up. Their middle order looks very bleak with lack of experience. Bowling has become very weak with no Malinga and Mathews unable to complete his full quota. Their spin department is good and will be looking to take an extra spinner against England.
In the last match at Delhi, it was definitely a good pitch, but England failed to adopt to the conditions under a very hot sun. But this match will be played in the evening time, so they will be at least feeling better. England's equation is very simple. Win big against Sri Lanka and wish South Africa loose to West Indies. It will be a good batting pitch and I expect England to win the match. Sri Lanka will come out with a heavy spin bowling armoury, but I see it would be difficult to handle the likes of Root, Hales, Buttler, who adapt to the bowling very soon.
All the Best.
