South Africa vs West Indies by Aditya9920

South Africa didn't have a bright start to the tournament, losing very badly to England and that result almost repeated against Afghanistan, but Morris was able to pull the match back with few wickets. Their bowling seems to be very very weak, as Rabada, Abbott, Steyn mainly rely on pace rather than variations, which are required on the sub continent pitches. The only bowler they on are Tahir and Morris. Their batting seems to be very good as always, with QDK in best form. Faf, ABD, Amla are as always reliable with Miller and JPD coming in the finisher's role. But for this match against WO, they lost JPD for hamstring injury and this will definitely leave a big hole to fill in. Beherdain appears to be the logical replacement. This is a must win match for South Africa.

On the other hand, West Indies are sitting safe and a win here would confirm their Semi Final berth. Their Tactics are very simple: Take two front line spinners. Rely on the remaining all rounders for the pace bowling. Russell, Bravo, Brathwaite all complete their 4 overs quota, with Sammy and Gayle bowling occasionally. They have power hitters from 1 to 9 and I think favourites to win not only this match but the tournament.

Actually, looking at the power hitters on both sides, one can simply choose over 12 sixes as the safe bet. The only reason I don't choose that is the pitch conditions at Nagpur. It was the same pitch where India were bowled out for 78. So, there may be a case this may repeat again and looking at the dimensions of Nagpur stadium, I would opt out of this.

This is a must win game for South Africa and they will look at their best batsmen - ABD to win it for them. With JPD not playing ABD will have a huge role in the middle order. He's looking in a decent form and he tormented West Indies in all the matches he played in the recent times. With no good pacer in WI, I see ABD performing well and choose for 32 Points or over.

For all of those who don't know how player performance works:

- 1 pt for each run scored in the match

- 20 pts for each wicket taken

- 10 pts for each catch taken

- 20 points for a stumping

and finally the stakes would be refunded if player doesn't make the playing XI. I see ABD scoring big in this match and expect him to take at least one or two catches, as he fields at the Long-On position.
