Eintracht Trier comes from a 1-1 draw in the visit to Neckarelz on Saturday, in a match, in which the hosts were close to win all three points, even though they played with ten players almost through the entire second half of that game.
However, the hosts continue at full speed in the race for promotion, given the fact that they are only four points behind Elversberg (2nd place), but have one game in hand.
This will be fourth competitive match for Eintracht Trier in 2016: the hosts began the second part of the season with a 0-2 loss in the visit to Mannheim on Feb. 27, but more important for my bet is that they played well in their previous match on this stadium and won 3-0 against Homburg on March 12.
Torge Hollmann (def. / 1 goal) was sent off in the last match against Neckarelz and is out for Eintracht Trier, as well as Matti Fiedler (def.) and Dennis Gerlinger (forw. / 7 goals), but key player in Michael Dingels (def.) returns to the squad after suspension.
In the matter of fact, the guests have even bigger problems with injured and suspended players, as Manuel Kaufmann (def.), Andreas Schon (midf. / 6 goals), Steffen Haas (midf.) and Nicolai Gross (forw. / 3 goal) will miss this match for Walldorf, while Niklas Norn (midf.), David Etzold (forw.) and Max Englert (forw.) are out for the rest of the season.
In addition to that, the guests have obvious problems at the start of the second part of the season, having won only three points from their previous four games in 2016 (1-0-3 3/9).
This victory, however, came at home and against the last team in the standings (4-0 vs. Saar 05 Saarbrucken on March 5), while Walldorf lost with more than one goal difference each of the other three games against Elversberg (0-2/away), Mannheim (0-3/away) and Hoffenheim II last Friday (0-4/home).
I think that the hosts are capable to cover this handicap.
