SA Spurs vs GS Warriors by Gilles

Big basketball game tonight with the Spurs hosting the Golden State Warriors at the AT&T Center, San Antonio.

The 1st and 2nd of the Western Conference meet for second time this season. Both teams are already qualified for playoffs. Both teams also have best records in the league this season, GS Warriors (62-6) and the Spurs (58-10). Both teams also have an extra competition running, the GS Warriors want to break season record of 72 wins of the Chicago Bulls (1996). The Spurs are unbeaten at home and gone try to keep it that way this season.

The 25th of Jan. the GS Warriors won the first meeting with the Spurs with a 30-point gap (120-90) in the Oracle Arena, Oakland. In the first meeting Tim Duncan didnt play. Today the San Antonio Spurs are favorites to win the game at their home court, the points spread is about 5 points.

I expect a game that will be much closer then first meeting with two teams who willl fight for victory till the last second. Therefore, I think this game has much potential to go into Overtime.

I don't normal bet against San Antonio Spurs but tonight my gut feeling tells me that Golden State Warriors will end Spurs home record. I know Golden State Warriors haven't beaten Spurs in San Antonio since 1997 but I think they can do it tonight.

but i dont think GSW will win (in the OT :)) tbh, they have 14 games left to play, they need 11 wins for record, they face Spurs 2 times more too after this game, once at home and once more in San Antonio, they still have room for error, so I expect they let Spurs dream on to deal big punch next game at Oracle and then K.O. their record at AT&T and shatter dream, much demoralising then winning now. now they just gone send warning with OT =)

@ gilles You made an interesting point. Good luck. It would be exciting if the game goes into OT.
