Zagreb vs Rhein-Neckar Lowen by Marci
In what shoulld be best and toughest match in 1/16 of Champions League we will see a match between young PPD Zagreb and Rhein Neckar Lowen. Lowen advanced as 4th with 17 points behind Barcelona, Kielce and Vardar while Zagreb were 5th with 11 points behind PSG, Veszprem, Flensburg and Kiel.
Lowen is first in strongest league in the world - Bundesliga so as Kiel and FLensburg are both behind them they have to be favourites on paper against Zagreb, but I firmly believe that Zagreb can beat them here and possibly even away (and Im not saying that only because I am Croatian). Lowen ius playing fast , attacking handball with world class wings Groetzki and Gensheimer as best players with Andy Schmid as biggest scoring threat behind the line and Jacobsen as head coach.
PPD Zagreb is having problems all season with injuries, but they are still here fighting every game and doing very well with FInal four of Seha Liga secured. FOr this game they will be without Luka Stepancic (who most likely wont play single game for Zagreb - is joining PSG after the season) and Sandro Obranovic, but good news is that DOmagoj Pavlovic (big scorer if he gets his first 2 shots in goal) and best player and legend Zlatko Horvat. With 2 great goalkeepers FIlip Ivic and Ivan Stevanovic we can really expet level game with 1 goal deciding as it has already for Zagreb this season with 1 point defeat against Flensburg, 2 against Kiel, Psg and Veszprem (so handicap is much safer option). Even tho they lost all those matches they showed that they can fight with strong teams like Lowen and I believe that they will win tomorrow at home like they did for instance this season at home against Kiel with +7.
