Amkar Perm vs Rostov FK by Sors
Amkar showed good and well organized football in those three games, as the hosts deserved to win at least one point from their visit to Spartak Moscow last weekend, but lost the game after two goals in the last eight minutes, one of them from a penalty.
The hosts don’t have the financial resources of most of the teams in the Russian Premier League, but Amkar is led by very experienced manager in Gadzhi Gadzhiyev and the backbone of this team is built by experienced players like Roman Gerus (goalkeeper), Dmitri Bulorukov (def.), Petar Zanev (def.), Janusz Gol (midf.), Georgi Peev (midf.), Aleksandr Prudnikov (forw.), etc. – most of them with more than 100 games in this league.
Gadzhi Gadzhiyev has almost a full squad to choose from, as only Fedor Ogude (m / 15+0) remains doubtful.
Rostov is a club with a much bigger budget than Amkar and obviously with bigger ambitions: unlike their opponents, whose main aim is to avoid relegation, the guests are still in the race for the title in the Russian Premier League, although it will be an extremely difficult task for Rostov to compete successfully with teams like CSKA Moscow, Zenit St. Petersburg and Lokomotiv Moscow.
2-0-0 3/0 for Rostov from two competitive games in 2016 (1-0 in the visit to Krylya Sovetov Samara and 2-0 at home against CSKA Moscow last Saturday), but the guests had certain problems in their visit in Samara (especially during the second half) and in general, the lack of constancy away from home is obvious (5-0-4 12/10).
Rostov is a team with more quality in the squad compared to Amkar, but this match will be played in Perm, where the hosts rarely lose even against teams stronger than Rostov.
