Kapfenberg vs Liefering by Sors

Kapfenberger comes from a 2-4 loss at home against A. Lustenau in its first competitive match in 2016 and is now without a win in six consecutive games in the league.

The club’s financial difficulties led to the sale of several important players in Christian Bubalovic (def.), Andreas Lasnik (midf.), Dimitry Imbongo Boele (forw.) and Sergi Arimany (forw.), but while the hosts still can count on enough qualitative players in attack (Dominik Frieser, Marco Perchtold, Joao Victor and Jorge Elias), their problems in defense are obvious.

The hosts conceded at least three goals in each of their four friendlies during the break (2-4 vs. Ried, 0-3 vs. Wolfsberger, 1-4 vs. Maribor and 2-3 vs. Ritzing), as well as four goals in their first competitive match in 2016 against A. Lustenau last Friday.

Maximilian Ritscher (d / 9+1) is out due to injury.

Liefering also lost several important players this winter in Philipp Wiesinger (def.) to LASK Linz, Mathias Honsak (def.) to Ried, Michael Brandner (midf.) to Ried, David Atanga (midf.) to Salzburg, Konrad Laimer (midf.) to Salzburg and Smail Prevljak (forw.) to Salzburg, but while the attack is still impressive with players like Raphael Dwamena (forw. / 2 goals), Dimitri Oberlin (forw. / 5 goals), Hwang Hee-chan (forw. / 11 goals), etc., Liefering’ defense has a completely new look in 2016, which could led to certain problems in that zone, especially in a moment when another important defender in Alexander Joppich (12+0) is injured.

I expect more than three goals in this match between the teams of Kapfenberger and Liefering.
