Kaizer Chiefs vs Polokwane City by Sors

Kaizer Chiefs come into the game on the back of five straight wins in February, four of them in the league against Golden Arrows (2-0/away), Maritzburg (3-2/home), Bidvest Wits (1-0/away) and Supersport last Saturday (2-1/home).

This good series climbed the hosts on 3rd position in the standings and what is even more important: Kaizer Chiefs is back in the race for the title, given the fact that the gap between the home team and Mamelodi Sundowns is eight points, but there are still ten rounds until the end of the campaign and these two teams will play each other at the end of April.

In the matter of fact, the hosts have to play against Volcan Club in the first qualifying round of CAF Champions League on Sunday, but they took a comfortable 4-0 win in the first leg in Comoros and Steve Komphela will most probably use many reserve players in that game.

Polokwane is in the lower half of the standings (thirteenth position), with a comfortable eight-point advantage over the teams in the relegation zone, but not in so good shape lately, as this team looks to avoid a fourth straight loss in the league after those against Platinum Stars (0-3/away), Golden Arrows (1-2/home) and Ajax Cape Town last Saturday (1-4/home).

There is actually one more reason for my bet: it is obvious that the guests rely mostly on their home games this season (5-2-3 16/14), while their results away from home are among the worst in the league (1-1-8 5/20).

I think that the hosts are capable to cover this handicap.
