Club Brugge vs Westerlo by Gilles
Westerlo was last in ranking for long time but could climb to 14th place last week with a 2-0 win over Standard Liege. This was a very important win, not only becos of 3 points but also against a big club who is still Play-off I candidate and who reached final of Cup. Westerlo could score fast in minute 3 with De Ceulaer. Their goalkeeper Van Langendonck became hero of the day with some good saves.
Club Brugge seems to find their game again since victory in Cup against Gent. Last week, Club Brugge won with 0-2 in derby at Oostende, they could score in 1st half and gave some chances away in second but with some luck they could score in second half 0-2 when Oostende was trying to tie 1-1. Club Brugge took 15/15 points so far in 2016.
For Westerlo Benji De Ceulaer is suspended after a 5th yellow card he took last week in game with Standard. This is a very important missing for Westerlo, he is one of faces of Westerlo this season, creates much danger, has scored 5 times in compettion and so on.
Club Brugge miss Ruud Vormer, he runs most kilometers of whole team, is clever player, is strong in duels, fuctions also many times as first stop on the midfield and has good attacking qualities. Jelle Vossen is suspended, he can score a goal (9) and is good substitute for Club Brugge this season. Ofcourse, Club Brugge has better bench to cover these losses.
Possible line-up Westerlo: Koen Van Langendonck, Mitch Apau, Kenneth Schuermans, Filip Daems, Jordan Mustoe, Robin Henkens, Jens Cools, Khaleem Hyland, Raphael Lecomte, Arno Verschueren, Frédéric Gounongbe
Out: Benjamin De Ceulaer (suspended), an also Lolo, Schouterden en Jeurissen
Misses next match if booked: Gilles Ruyssen
Possible line-up Club Brugge: Ludovic Butelle, Thomas Meunier, Björn Engels, Stefano Denswil, Laurens De Bock, Claudemir, Timmy Simons, Hans Vanaken, Lior Refaelov, Abdoulay Diaby, José Izquierdo
Out: Ruud Vormer (abdominals for about 1 month), Jelle Vossen (suspended), and also Ibini
Misses next match if booked: Timmy Simons, Felipe Gedoz
I think Club Brugge will win this game and hold 3 points at home, they should not have that many trouble with Westerlo, but they also should not underestimate a team with 10 points out of 15 since 2016 who just beated Standard Liege. But the missing of Benjamin De Ceulaer is not little one, we still have to see what Westerlo can do without him at Brugge.
I think bet Club Brugge -1AH is very possible but I dont like the odds, Club Brugge -2AH has better odds and has a possibility but its not without risk. So I looked at over goals, and 2.5 is very likely but also no really a tasty odd, so I think its better then to try to go 3.5 in over on goals.
For my own bet the both teams to score bet (BTTS) is for me the best choice, and I know its not easy to score against Club Brugge (they only took twice a goal in last 5 matches), but I think Westerlo may possible find a goal here in Jan Breydel stadion. I think Brugge defend better against the better teams. Also, Westerlo has topscorer of Belgian competition at the moment with Gounongbe (12), and he will wear sign of Golden Bull first time this match which should motivate I guess (this may also motivate player like Diaby (11, Club Brugge) who is only one goal after Gounongbe to score 1 or more goals).
So my bet for this match is that both teams will score. Good luck!
