Oxford vs Mansfield by DrVonKlaps

Oxford United faces Mansfield Town.

It is the 3rd of the table vs the 5th and I believe that the odds are not accurate.

No one doubts that Oxford are the favorites with so far outstanding performance: 14-9-4 overall and 6-5-2 at home.

Recent form is not bad (last six: 3-1-2, last four at home: 1-2-1), but not perfect. Last match (Saturday 6 Feb) vs Exeter was postponed due to weather conditions. They had more days to rest.

Now let 's see the odds: Oxford (1,60) vs Mansfield (6,50).

So according to the odds we expect to see a guest team with rather miserable stats.

Lets have a look: Mansfield are currently on position 5. So far 13-8-9 and away: 8-2-4. Ooops!

What about recent form: they run a 3 matches winning streak. Last six 4-0-2 and last four away 2-1-1. Wow!

They played last Saturday. They won against Morecambe 2-1. Lucky? Goalkeeper Shearer saved 2 penalty shots. Good to have a fine goalkeeper in a team you going to bet for! Isnt it? And it is also good to have top scoring striker of the team Matt Green back after serving a one-match suspension.

And why these odds? We always have to ask. Where is the trap?

Probably the more days of rest for Oxford is one factor. And probably the recent encounters of the teams, with Oxford as the host: all in favor of Oxford.

I dont bet using data of 2009, or even of 2015. With the today's data, in my opinion, odds are wrong. Away win should be around 4,50 and not 6,50.

In this price, (4,50), I have away win plus draw no bet and there i will put my stake. For these odds I 'm willing to take the risk.

Good luck.

You are always welcome to criticize.
My results are really bad. I can not hide them. You got me on that! Oops! (Apologize for using this word).
You can not blame me that I force anyone to follow my tips. Can you? I do not try to convince anyone. I m just participating in a game and trying to find some picks that seem interesting to me. It is OK if a lot of people disagree. They are not forced to follow the tip. They do not have even to read my preview.
It is so simple: Tipster betting stats 7-2-23 => means that tip is bull...t. Thats your rationale and I wont argue with that. How

I watch Mansfield a lot this season and they are much better away from home. At home they have struggled and the fans are quick to jump onto the team if they don't get an early goal. However, away from home they are well set up and play very well when teams attack them. I think a double chance of 1X or the pick above is a very good selection.

Good luck.

First of all i dont like it if you put words in my mouth...i didnt call you...of i dont think you are a loser!!
If you right previews only based on stats and the last game form then i am gonna do the same just to let you see that that isnt a strong preview...i did the same just to make a point to you.
But i wish you luck (not to much because i bet against your preview :-) )

Oxford lost their past 3 games, all of them at home too.
Mansfield won the last 3 and 2 of them were on the road.
It looks like Mansfield has a better momentum and they are going to this game with a full squad.
So DrVonKlaps has a point on taking the bet he did.
*One last thing is the 2 past times that Oxford hosted Mansfield ,Oxford won 3-0 both times
i don't know much about them two if there is some beef going on( rivals, etc) but that's what's up.

Yes you are right that oxford lost there last 3 games...but 2 of them was in an other competition.
And i dont know if they played there strongest line-up or not!!
02/09/2016 - 19:54
and pure based on stats...oxford won 6 of there 7 home games against mansfield to nil!!

DrVonKlaps... First of all, thanx for what you're doing: you're wasting energy and time sharing us your thoughts about soccergames, trying to help us earn some cash... Thank you! Some here say your stats are not good... I think its not your fault, but you're Greek, right? Perhaps u have great knowledge in Greek leagues, and could help us with those AEK, Olympiakos and other games, and um site your stats would improve a lot! Thanx, man!

@ cleber

If drvonklaps would give us tips/previews from greece his stats wont improve....if there is a corrupt competition, its the griek one!!
only matchfixing, same as turkey, no value at all!!
