Osmanlispor vs Besiktas by Hassy

Table toppers Besiktas travel to the capital Ankara this evening looking to go back to the top of the table after Fenerbahce's narrow win in the same city last night. The win saw Fener overtake their Istanbul rivals at the top of the league but The Black Eagles will fancy their chances of regaining to spot against the team that boasts the worst home form in the division.

Osmanlispor managed to gain promotion last season from the second tier and set about maintaining their league status as their main goal for the season. A famous scalp over Galatasaray earlier in the season seems ages ago but they still sit comfortably in mid table at the moment and will be semi pleased of their performances.

Osmanlispor's main troubles have come at home. They seem to like to hit teams on the counter attack away from home and this was demonstrated in their most recent emphatic 0-4 win at Bursa which sent shockwaves across turkish football. Despite collecting 14 points away from home they have only managed to pick up four on their own pitch and they have now recorded four straight defeats at home and have even failed to score in all four matches. Prior to the 0-4 win Bursa they had only won once in their previous seven games as well so they don't come into the match with any real positive form.

For Osmanlispor the manager, Mustafa Reşit Akçay will be without Artur, Lukasz & Avdija who are all still nursing injuries.

Besiktas come into the game off the back of a superb display which saw them overcome champions Galatasaray 2-1. The scoreline flattered Cim Bom because if truth be told Besiktas totally dominated and conceded a sloppy goal through a terrible goalkeeping error. That said the win ensured besiktas remained top of the league and they will feel confident in Ankara tonight. Besiktas have the best away record in the division with six wins and a draw and are still undefeated on the road. They have scored ten goals in their last four away games ensuring 12 points in the process.

For the league leaders, goalkeeper Tolga Zengin is expected to come back into the side after his injury has healed but other than that Gunes is expected to field the same side that dismantled the turkish champions last week.

Besiktas have won ten of their last 13 matches and I fully expect that run to continue. They have already accumulated 17 more points than their opponents in the league table and in Mario Gomez they boast the leagues best striker. He has scored five in his last seven games and is now starting to look fit and lethal once more. The match sees the worst home side face the best away side and I can only side with an away win which see Besiktas go back to the top of the pile.
