Both of these teams came out with 1-0 home wins in the Copa Del Ray last Tuesday, however Celta was playing with a 2 goal advantage from the first leg while Granada started down a goal. So physically, Celta should be less tired and better rested compared to Granada this Sunday.

Celta’s also been in great form lately, in their last 5 they've won 4 and tied 1, while Granada has just managed to win their first 2 consecutive matches for the first time since May 2015! They have a more modest record of 2-2-1 in their last 5 matches.

Granada’s currently in dead last @ home with 6 goals, 13 allowed and a 1-2-4 record, they have conceded more goals than anyone in La Liga while playing @ home, except for Celta and Levante! If that’s not bad enough, the only team that has scored less while playing @ home is their current rivals, Las Palmas.

Celta’s in 3rd place while playing away from home, their away record consists of 11 goals, 9 against and a 4-2-1 record. They now sit in 4th overall in La Liga, just 2 points behind Real Madrid with an 8–4–3 overall record. This is also the qualification spot for the Champions League next season, which should give them some extra motivation to play well here. Realistically, the odds that they surpass Barca, Real or Atletico this season are next to nil, so this is exactly where they want to be and stay! In their last 15 games they've conceded 22 goals and scored 26, currently the 3rd most goals scored in La Liga. While travelling, even though they've played one less away match, they’re even with Real Madrid with 14 points. They are actually one of the few teams that has been stronger on the road this season than they have been @ home. This fits nicely into the equation with Granada as they're also one of the few clubs that has a better visiting record than they do @ home!

At the moment, Granada are barely hovering above the relegation zone. The only thing keeping them afloat is their weak GF/GA average of 17 goals scored and 25 allowed. Even second last place, Las Palmas is poised to take their spot with just a tie (if Granada losses)! The only disadvantage I can see Celta Vigo having in this match is that Granada just might be trying their hardest to stay alive, but that does not mean that they actually have it in them…

The odds for this match are just too good to resist! Even if you don’t like the visiting team, one has to admit that there is some value here. If you’re a safe bettor or don’t like road teams take the pk, -0.5. If you have big kahunas, take Celta for the straight win or even better -0.5, -1. One thing is almost guaranteed, Celta will out-play Granada this coming Sunday, lets just hope it's enough to win and keep them in 4th place!
