Uniao Madeira vs Benfica by Rahul

Benfica come into this game sitting in 3rd spot; a game behind the rest of their rivals and hoping to bridge the gap to 5 points behind Sporting and 3 points behind Porto.

Benfica are coming into this game after winning 5 straight games in the league and hoping that form will continue. They put in a solid performance against Vitoria beating them 4-2 last time around. They had Mitroglu playing at a very high level this year already netting 4 goals including in 2 straight games while top scorer in the Liga Jonas also managed to find the net on the weekend as well. Jonas has been creating opportunities for his team mate also with 5 assists but mainly led by Gaitan who has had 7 created goals for his team mates. The strong offence has seen Benfica score 31 goals in 12 games, which is the highest goals and by far highest goals per game scored in the league with almost 2.5 per game. Defensively also they have been quite sound, leaking just 9 goals in the 12 games, and just 2 goals in their current 5 game winning streak. That has helped them do well, but have lost Sporting and Porto their title rivals which has seen them slide back.

Madeira on the other hand have been struggling really badly having won just 1 game since August and have been on the back of some real thrashing in the last few weeks due to their poor defence. In their last 3 games, they have conceded 10 goals to Porto and Pacos; showcasing their horrible defence. Goals have been hard to come by for Madeira netting only 7 times in 12 games; and unable to secure any results because of that. Madeira have only recently gotten promoted; but unable to produce solid results that could show hope of them surviving.

I expect Benfica to continue their solid string of recent results, and run out as winners in this encounter tonight.

why you surprised, betting on 1.3 away win with hc -1.5 for 1.85 on benfica? remember stay away from teams like: benfica, sporting, valencia, roma, inter, milan, fiorentina ( all Italian teams are crap anyway) liverpool, psv, ajax, anderlecht, galata, fenerbachce, besiktas then it is going to save you some money. people consider them big guns but their are season teams with their big history and little more money than others, beside that they are average teams with average players and average managers (exclude liverpool- if about menagers). name of the club doesn't play on field and small clu

It was extremely boring; with the team not showing any efforts to try and push for goals!
