Preston vs Birmingham by Marlo

A potentially intriguing clash on the menu here as Preston host Birmingham.

Preston has seen an upturn in their fortunes of late that was started with a win over Burnley at Turf Moor, I remember watching that game in disgust as Burnley wasted their chances and were punished late on by Preston as they ran out 2-0 winners. I think I was tipping a 1.5 shot for that game as I had Burnley DNB. I regret tipping in that way and I don't think I ever want to go back to tipping like that.

Preston followed up that win with another success this weekend, this time a 1-0 win over Reading.

Birmingham too had some success as they held Middlesbrough to a 0-0 draw.

Take away those two back to back wins and it was 5 draws in the last 8 for Preston.

Well, on current form, hard to make a case for Birmingham as they have no wins in their last 4, 3 losses. If we go back even further, its a single win in their last 8. That alone puts me off DNB on Birmingham.

They will sit deeper and play on the counter attack and given the lack of goals for Preston a single counter attacking goal for Preston may be enough. Daniel Johnson is the key threat for the hosts.

At home Preston has drawn 5 of their last 8 within 90 minutes all competitions.

Stalemate is very likely here.

Alex... do you have any particular games in mind that likely resulted in draw, thanks

The other games that can potentially be draws are
Middlesbrough vs Burnley (was close to tipping this but fell just outside my top 4)

Fulham vs Ipswich (6th best)

and Perhaps the rotherdam and wednesday games but I didn't have enough confidence to suggest draws there)

Let's hope everyone is held to a draw in this round except Derby who win 9-0 :)

Under 2.5 goals is the way to go in this game.

Preston might snatch the win here...

QPR Brighton i strongly feel it will be draw.
Preston Birmingham could be draw too.
Fulham never win Ipswich in 20 years. +0.5 for Ipswich.

@ hassy I agree with that under 2.5 is a solid option and the btts no was another market I really liked too... However those low odds picks aren't something I fancy at the moment...however they are safer...
@ wizardloo of course hosts can sneak it but depends on how counter attacking game for visitors pans out.
@ Alex yea mate...the more draws the better :)

Alex... thanks , I'll be playing few draws today and few underdogs. Over/under haven't look into it in depth. Thanks for the suggestions all....
