Hiroshima vs River Plate by Alexis1016
Sanfrecce Hiroshima vs River Plate.
Sanfrecce Hiroshima played well in this tournament so far by scoring 5 goals in two games and they have kept a clean sheet in both games. Anyway, I wasn't impressed with their performances despite these wins. I think the opponents were poor and they speculated very well that. Against Auckland was a easy game because the team from New Zealand is not great. However, Sanfrecce scored the goals after big mistakes of the goalie of Auckland. Mazembe was a better opponent and the scoreline doesn't reflect the reality from the field because the team from DR Congo was the better side in the first half and I think they deserved to lead before the break, but Sanfrecce scored before half-time after some poor defending of Mazembe players on a set-piece. Overall was a deserved win for Sanfrecce, but clearly not with this scorline. Also, Sanfrecce could be a little bit tired after a long season in J-League and they had a heavy schedule in December. Sanfrecce already played 4 games in this month.
The last game of River was in the end of last month and they are in Japan for some time. River already played in Japan this season back in August in the Suruga Bank Championship against Gamba Osaka. They won that match clearly, 3-0. So they played in the same city, only the stadium is different now. True, Gamba played without two key players then, Usami and Highashiguchi, but even so their starting line-up wasn't bad. River hasn't changed too much. Only the centre-back Ramiro Funes Mori was sold to Everton. River has quality in front of the goal thanks to Javier Pedro Saviola and Sebastian Driussi. Also, the former Porto and OM man, Lucho Gonzalez treveled to Japan this time. I think River Plate has another level than Mazembe and I don't think the team from Argentina will be so careless like the champions of Africa. I think River will score twice and will win this match.
