Liverpool vs West Brom by Ashjkc

Sunday match up between Liverpool and West Brom is a tricky one. Liverpool is a rejuvenised team after the arrival of mythical manager Klopp. Beating Chelsea (title holder) 3-1 away was a great performance but we cannot judge Liverpool from this match due to the poor form of the Blues. However, beating the strongest title contender 4-1 just shows what this team is capable of.

I watched the Liverpool-Newcastle match and I can tell you that Liverpool was over-confident as the team just came from a 6-1 rampage against Southampton. Liverpool played a mediocre football and was outplayed due to risk taking situations. Despite holding the ball throughout the whole game, Liverpool didn't manage to score a goal. There were not many shots on goal either. I am certain that Klopp learnt from his mistakes and will play a pressing game without leaving space for mistakes and subsequently counter-attacks.

West Brom, just as Liverpool, begins the real attack in the 2nd half. They have a strong defense but seem to make blatant mistakes late game, just like in the Leicester confront. I expect a slow first half, with Liverpool controlling the ball, but a concentrated opposition. The second half will be more risk taking as both set of teams have the possibility of climbing the ladder. Without Sturridge, I can still see Liverpool scoring goals, but not easily. West Brom will surely concede, but definitely not in the first half.
