Ajax
VS
Molde
Probable lineups:

Ajax: Cillessen – Riedewald, van der Hoorn, Veltman, Dijks – Gudelj, Klaassen, van de Beek – Younes, Milik, Fischer

Molde: Horvath – Flo, Toivio, Forren, Linnes – Hussain, Hestad, Singh – Elyounoussi, Hoiland, Mostrom

Ajax is in a must-win situation, even though the hosts are not in favorable position and their further progress in the tournament depends from the result in the other match in Group A between the teams of Fenerbahce and Celtic.

However, it is obvious that Ajax is in a good shape in this moment, as the hosts took an important 2-1 win in the visit to Celtic in the previous round in Group A, followed by two victories in the Dutch league against Zwolle (2-0/away) and Heerenveen last Saturday (5-2/home).

Kenny Tete (d / 15+0) is suspended, Daley Sinkgraven (m / 9+0) and Yaya Sanogo (f / 3+0) are injured, but Sinkgraven is unavailable since November, while Yaya Sanogo is not regular starter.

Molde is already in the next stage of the tournament after two wins, one draw and only one defeat in the previous five rounds (3-1-1 9-6), but the guests haven’t played official match since Nov. 26, when they lost 0-2 at home against Fenerbahce.

Rindaroy (d / 11+0) is suspended, while Gatt (m / 1+0) is injured, but he is not regular starter.

Ajax deserved to win three points in the first match in Norway (1-1), but the hosts missed some really good scoring opportunities in that game, especially in the second half.

Motivation of the home team is not under question (even though their chances are not so good), Ajax excels Molde in terms of individual qualities of the players, while home court advantage is another reason for my bet.

I think that the hosts are capable to cover this handicap.

Ajax are a super weak team. They suck in Europe.
