New Orleans vs Player Special by Marci
New Orleans Pelicans are hosting Cleveland cavaliers in interesting match up between Pelicans which are at 4 losses in a row and 4-15 this season and championship contenders Cavaliers which are first in East with 13-5. Lebron James has last time won against Pelicans when he was 26 and playing with Miami and Cavs without them had problems beating Pelicans (Hornets earlier) so even tho they are big favorites we will see how will they capitalise from hot&cold Pelicans.
My pick for this game is Ryan Anderson to score more than 15 points in this game. He is averaging 18,6 points per game and is best bench player in the team and one of best in the league. He is often playing 30+ minutes and have beautiful stroke for a big man. This season he had 13 times more than 15 points in 19 games. He will be guarded by Kevin Love who isnt superb defender and is always looking to win defensive rebound what could bring little more space for Ryan to score couple shots more.
Ryan Anderson is averaging almost 15 shots per game (14,73) with 45% shooting and he should be joker from the bench to help Pelicans make a surprise victory. One more important thing to know is that last 5 times Anderson played against Love , he in all games scored more than 20 points. Cavs are 18th in defending power forward position with conceding 19,2 points per game.
