Cecchinato vs Albot by BlackPanther
This week finds the Challenger Tour Finals (the counterpart to the World Tour Finals) at the lower level. The game is played in Brazil on clay and, accordingly, the main draw is also equipped with many clay court specialists. One of these specialists is Marco Cecchinato, who will play in the second game with Radu Albot from Romania. The Italian played with a score of 61/29 a very good year (52/20 on clay court matches) in Challengers. Cecchinato won this year the tournament in Turin in May, also in Genoa in September he reached the final.
His opponent will be Radu Albot. The number 120 in the world stands at a 46/32 balance this year and was significantly weaker than Cecchinato. Albot won the hardcourt tournament in Kolkata in India in late February. On clay he has a 20/11 balance.
Both have lost their first duel in this group, so I expect both to give their best here to win. A tight duel is sure in my eyes and the only mutual duel until now was in three sets last year (Albot won 2-1).
