Guangzhou vs Al Ahli by Aloneindark
It has been a long time since my last post. But this match will kick off in my city in a few hours and I may have to write in something about it.
The 1st leg was a draw game with 0:0. Either of the team managed to take any advantage. For Al Ahli there is no reason to be disappointed as they are underdogs against 2013 ACL champion Guangzhou. Guangzhou has nothing to happy with as any goal conceded at home in the second leg will be a disaster.
I strongly recommend to bet small goal number in this match for following reasons:
1.FIFA interviewed Chinese International Huang Bowen on 19Nov and I couldn’t agreed more: Former head Coach Lippi is better at training Guangzhou team at offending end while Scolari is better in reaching a balance between 2 ends. Therefore, in most games they played this season, Guangzhou team were not winning their opponents by a bigger goal margin, but managed to win the games by 1 or 2 goals; Ricardo Goulart is the best striker of the team but he picked up an injury in the 1st leg and may have affected his performance this game;
2.For Guangzhou, they need to score as early as possible, However, they can not afford to concede a goal before they can score. Therefore, they must first make sure to have taken control of the procession before they can start their powerful attack; For Al-Ahli Dubai, They had put a lot of energy at defending end even at home in the first leg. They wouldn’t mind at all to defend again from the 1st minute. For the quality of foreign players, Al-Ahli have nothing to compare with Guangzhou as Guangzhou is having Ricardo Goulart, Paulinho and Elkeson on hand, who are worth over 30M EUR combined. But Goulart is in doubtful and Elkeson has been out of form for half of the season due to injury and he is not at his best moment;
3.Al-Ahli can also raise sudden attack and score. Ahmed Khalil is one of the best forwarder in Asia. Lima is also capable of creating chances for the strikers. In my point of view, the typical Middle East team can always take advantage of time. There was a lot of complaints and argument with the referees in the first leg, which can be repeated in the second leg. That means, If Al-Ahli can score first, there will be a lot of wasting time during the game and the game will end up with score like: 1:0, 1:1 and 2:1. If Guangzhou is the one to score first, they are also conservative to protect the advantage and the result will probably be 1:0, 2:0, 1:1. Whichever it is, it will be no more than 3 goals.
Last but not least, some guy in another tip claimed that the Emirates may bribe Guangzhou to win this game. I really want to say: Do you know who is the boss of Guangzhou? Do you know who is Ma Yun? Okay if you don’t know, check who is the owner of www.alibaba.com. Besides, Ma Yun only shares 50% of the club.
