West Brom vs Arsenal by Marcelino

West-Brom
VS
Arsenal
West Brom are a decent team under Tony Pulis and are comfortable in 13th place with 14 points and 4 1-0 wins so far. They kept 4 clean sheets in 12 games showing their potential to defend well. They lost their last 2 games away to Man United and a close game home to Leicester. Before that they won 2 games away to Norwich and home to Sunderland. Only injury for them is Chris Brunt.

Arsenal are having a great season so far on 26 points, level on points with leaders Man City. Record stands 8-2-2. However, they have many injuries in their team. Injured players are Bellerin, Wallcot, Chamberlain, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky and Wellbeck. Most of these players are 1st team players. The team looked depleted with injuries and not in best form against Tottenham who arguable played better than them on Arsenal's home ground. They won just 1 match in their last 4.

I suspect I will get a lot of downvotes forthis, but I think West Brom to win is a good bet here. 7.50 are bigg odds to get on a home team to win in the premier league! These are the same odds we got for bottom side Aston Villa to beat leaders Man City. But Arsenal are depleted with injuries right now. In addition, Tony Pulis has a great record against Arsenal. He knows how to frustrate them by defending well in numbers and breaking up their play. Tony Pulis, while managing Stoke City hosted Arsenal, between 2008 and 2013 6 times. In those 6 games, he won 3 games, drew 2 and Arsenal won just 1. I think Pulis knows how to play against Arsenal and he will get a good result against a depleted Arsenal side. Also, the international break will favour West Brom. While Arsenal's players were away on international break, West brom had most players stay and plan and strategise for their game against Arsenal. My pick is small stakes on an against the odds win for West Brom, probably 1-0.

Bellerin is back into the team. That will add a lot of bites to arsenal in going forward to attack. I don't see a win for West Brom here because its a good chance for Arsenal to top the table should in case Man city draws with Liverpool.
