Pittsburgh vs Colorado by Chenne
I liked the chance for Pittsburgh to get the win tonight, and when I gave the odds a look, I like the chance of Pittsburgh winning by a pair of goals even more. After the way Colorado looked on special teams two nights ago in Toronto, it's hard to see them coming into Pittsburgh to gain traction against a much tougher team.
Even though Pittsburgh started the season miserably slow, pairing Kessel and Malkin has paid off ten times over as they are finally starting to score their way out of trouble as advertised. Colorado gets the services of Gabriel Landeskog back tonight, and Pittsburgh will be without Olli Maata, but I think the re-entry of Nick Bonino back into PIT's lineup will have a nice depth effect as Eric Fehr can slip back to a more comfortable spot on the fourth line.
Hard to ignore Fleury in goal as well, sure he's had his postseason trouble but he is always great in the regular season and Berra got shelled last outing by a poor Toronto offense and will really be putting pressure on himself without Varlamov out of the lineup.
I can't see Pittsburgh losing this one, but the odds are favourable enough to take a shot at them covering the spread as well. Throw a little cash on Pittsburgh @ -1.5.
