Winnipeg Jets vs Vancouver by Chenne

This is a matchup between two teams who are desperate for a win. Vancouver visits Winnipeg for the last game of their season high road trip, where they have only managed a 1-3-2 record. Winnipeg is also returning home after being badly outscored on a road trip and scoring just one point in their last six games.

The key to this game, in my opinion, is going to be the home ice. Winnipeg's play has improved over their losing streak, and Alex Burmistrov seems to be allowed a little more rope, and a little more time on the puck will only help his confidence, as well as the stats of his linemates. Coming back home to Winnipeg will certainly help, and Ondrej Pavelec getting the net back will hopefully solidify the defence. Ryan Miller has been shaky in the Vancouver net since his hot start, and news is now coming in that the Canucks will be without the services of Radim Vrbata which takes away some scoring punch.

I think the Ladd-Little-Wheeler line for WPG is one of the more underrated forward lines in the NHL, and being back on home ice will be the jump start they need to get the win tonight. I can't ignore the odds for Winnipeg on this one given VAN's form on this road trip.
