As NHL started and few matches have been already played Im starting to give analyses for you. Actually NHL is the reason why I applied for Betshoot. :)

For todays night, I chose match between Anaheim and Arizona.

Anaheim played 2 games so far and lost both by a tight margin against strong Vancouver and San Jose. They managed to score only 1 goal (Vatanen against Vancouver) and this is the right match to change it. For todays match Anaheims coach chose Khudobin to start in the homes goal. He was the best player of Anaheim is preseason so its understandable. Their offensive aces - Perry, Getzlaf, Kesler need to start being productive in front of the net in order to be a serious contender for playoffs. They have experienced players who can learn from their own mistakes made in previous matches.

Visitors from Arizona started lot better - 2 games played, 2 wins (against terrible LA and so far average Pittsburgh). Ther defensive work looked really solid. Especially Mike Smith in the match versus PIT was excellent and removed all opponents forwards (except Kessel who scored goal).

I expect:

A LOT improved performance from ANA

Better powerplays from home team (in terms of putting the players in front of net)

Higher pressure from ANA players towards opponents goalie

Perry and Getzlaf to wake up and start making worldclass hockey.

All in all, odds indicate that Anaheim is slight favourite, I disagree by thinking that it is big favourite. Lets hope and believe that big names will show up. Good luck. (in last tips i didnt have :))pin
