Rojer/Tecau vs. Pospisil/Sock

The no2 pair of the world and also the defending champions here in Beijing, Rojer/Tecau, will face for the the second time this year the american couple Pospisil/Sock.

Rojer and Tecau have a great season so far, with SF in Autralian Open, SF in French Open, trophy in Wimbledon and QF in US Open. After they used their first year together, 2014, in order to work on all aspects of their game, they look very homogenous in 2015 and, despite not being brilliant in any department they are extremely efficient as a pair, especially on hard courts.

The americans, on the other hand, stuned the tennis world with their title in Wimbledon at their first tournament together, but after another few good tournaments the grets of doubles tennis decoded their game and they came in this tournament after 4 defeats in a row, all the american hard court summer swing meaning 1st round exits for them. Here they won the battle of the most out of form top pairs against Bolleli/Fognini and the formal battle against the exotic pair of the Djokovic brothers.

Today I think if the individual value is on the americans' side and the couple value is on Rojer/Tecau's side, a important factor shall be the motivation: while the no1 favourites will be focused on defending their title and points I find it very probable that Pospisil and Sock, which are mainly singles players, to also think that fighting for the doubles trophy on Sunday in Beijing is not the best way to accomodate with the courts and the atmosphere in Shanghai Masters, the bigest asian tournament where they are both on the main draw.

Rojer/Tecau to go to the final.
