Thiem vs Isner by Johnny Cash
ATP - SINGLES: Beijing (China), hard
The last check before Masters tournament in Shanghai, players from all around the world will have on two very strong tournaments in Beijing and Tokyo. Beijing tournament is in category 500 and defending champion is actual champion of the world and a best sportsman that my country ever had.. You guess... of course Novak Djokovic. Tournament in Beijing is play at a hall specially built for Olympics 2011 with 15 000 sitting places with moving sun roof and we shouldn't be afraid of bad weather.
For the first pick from this tournament, we take a lood on the match between John Isner and Dominic Thiem.
John Isner is currently on 13th place and his best rank in career was at 2012. when he was at 9. place on ATP ranking list. During he's 8 years long professional career, he manage to win 10 titles and one of them comes this year on home soil in Atalanta where he beat M. Baghdatis in straight sets 2:0. He also played a final in Washington but lose against Kei Nishikori in that match. Strange things was happened on tournament in Cincinnati where he lost against Sam Querrey without winning a singl set despite he was a big favorite to win that match. He also played a semi final Masters in Miami and lost that match from Novak Djokovic in straight sets but that's not shame at all. He's last match was at US Open 1/4 final against R. Federer and we all know how that ended.
On the other side, we have a quite good Austrian player Dominic Thiem who's play his best tenis ever this year and in one momment he was at 18th place on ATP ranking list. He is currently on 20th place, but some good results such as semi final in St. Petersbourg. can bring him back among the best 20 players on the world. He's manage to win three titles in his career and all three this year on tournaments in Nice, Umag and Gstaad. There's a few more significant results from this player but also unexpected defeat at tournament in Munich from compatriot G. Melzer, who was a 184th player at that time.
This two players had only one match between them and that was this year on tournament in Nice. That tournament was played on clay surface and Thiem has a advantage in such circumstances and win that one with 2:0 (7:6 6:3). We all know that Isner is much better on hard surfaces where he's strong serve comes to the fore. Austrian player have a good first serve also and it is logical to expect that both players win games on their serve in the initial stage of the match . For all these reasons , I recommend that we bet on a large number of games in this match because I expect a tough match and uncertain to the very end and at least one tie-break will be enough for us to win and get the money from this one...
