Bautista-Agut vs Gasquet by Johnny Cash

ATP - SINGLES: Tokyo (Japan), hard

One of the most interesting match that we have in the first round of this tournament is definitely between Roberto Bautista -Agut and Richard Gaskuet. This will be the third match between them and the curent score is now 1-1. The game starts at 06:00 CET

Bautista-Agut play so far this season like he used to play in a last couple of years. He is currently on 22. position on ATP ranking list which is a slightly worse than he was on the begining of this season when he was on 15. place. He's best ranking was at this time last year when he was 14th. He's got a two title on his sheet and both of them comes last year from tournaments in Hertongenbosch and Stuttgart when he was better then Becker and Rosol. When we take a look on this year results we must notice semi final in St. Petersburgh and 1/4 final on US Open where he's manage to take a set from Novak Djokovic (that's a quite good isn't it). There's a few more significant results but we must notice and some defeats from much weaker players.

Gasquet is on quite good 11th spot and he's still got a theoretically chances to qualify to final Master tournament of the year in London . So far his manage to win 12 ATP titles in his career and two of them is from this year tournaments in Estoril and Montpellier. We can say that this franch player played as expected from him and he's significantly move on the ranking list as he start this season on 26th place .

As I was mentioned above, this is a third match between them. Bautista-Agut was better last year on Masters in Paris (6:4 6:4) and Gasquet take a revenge this year at tournament in Dubai in three sets (6:4 3:6 7:6). This time, I think that Gasquet is a favorite to win this one cause his was better on every major tournaments this year and I expect to see him in the next round.
