Sevilla vs Barcelona by FP
Sevilla’s start to La Liga has been questionable – they sit 16th with one win from six matches (2 draws, 3 defeats), the win being a narrow 3-2 home win over Rayo Vallecano which preceded successive defeats against Las Palmas and Celta Vigo. Their defence is leaky – they have conceded exactly two goals in their last four successive games, whilst their strike force is struggling and averages only one goal per game over those four matches.
Barcelona’s form is generally good, but they are prone to the odd poor game as shown when losing 4-1 away to Celta Vigo three matches ago. They have won their two matches since, both 2-1 against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League and Las Palmas in La Liga. Lionel Messi is injured and will not play which is good news for Sevilla, but Barcelona have a number of world class players who can win matches on their own. Neymar and Suarez are outstanding, and both seem to be in good form. Barecelona are second in the table, one point ahead of Real Madrid in third, and with their rivals facing a Madrid derby against Athletico they have a good chance to put some early pressure on and go four points ahead.
I do think Barcelona have a good chance of coming away with three points, and it is not often you will get such a good price on the Barcelona win, the win is priced at 1.95. One statistic that takes my eye though is that Barcelona fans have seen both teams score in each of their last six matches. Both teams to score is priced at around 1.60. Either one of those bets would be a good investment, but I am going to take a risk here and combine the two. Both teams to score in a Barcelona win is priced at 3.60 which is very generous.
