After losing the 1st 2 games and failing to score in both, Wilson came to Bournemouth's rescue and scored 5 of their goals out of the 9 the team scored. Bournemouth got some decent results since then, as they got a home win vs Sunderland and an away win vs West Ham and drew home to Leicester.
Watford has been showing some decent defensive ability, keeping 3 clean sheets so far. They won 2 of their last 3 games, winning away to Newcastle and home to Swansea. After a few games failing to score goals, Ighalo came to the rescue and scored 3 goals in their last 3 games and 4 goals this season.
Both teams seem very reliant on their top scorers for goals. However, the problem is that Bournemouth's Wilson, suffered a knee injury and will not be available for the next game. He scored 5 of their 9 goals. While Bournemouth had the edge in this game because of home advantage, the absence on Wilson nulifies that and this game becomes very even in my opinion.
Watford have been showing that they are capable of defending well, conceding just 6 goals in 7 games. I just don't see where the goals will come from for Bournemouth. Only Man Utd and Spurs conceded less goals (5 each). This is likely to be a low scoring tight affair, 0-0, 1-0, -0-1, 1-1 are the likely scores here. In addition, Bournemouth got 7 points so far, while Watford managed 9 points, while having tougher games in my opinion, Watford only lost 2 out of 7 games and Bournemouth only managed 2 wins in 7, 1 of which was home to bottom placed Sunderland. Therefore I think there is value in backing Watford to avoid defeat and covering 2 of the 3 possible outcomes.
