ATP Shenzhen is rolling and in R.2 Mannarino is facing the home-hope Yan Bai.
Yan Bai plays ITF and low-key CH in and around China. He is 26 y.o and sits at #266.
He is pretty "high" on the ranking, but since he just stays in Asia he is collecting a lot of easy points. He is
40/17 on HC, but if we put it in perspective the best players he face (imo) is Tsuan-Hua Yang, Sugita and Duck Hee Lee. Not a scary bunch so it is not that hard to see that he have that nice record. Won against Niki (#340) in R.1.
Mannarino is a player that is a bit tricky to bet on. He can vary some great performances with some less impressive results. Like his backhand and he is strong when he attacks the net. Surprised me by crushing Pouille in R.1 with 6-0 6-3. Was pretty dominant in the rallies in that game. Didn´t get his serve to work that well, so there is room for improvement. He has a pretty good draw with a potential QF against Garcia-Lopez/Rosol, and should with some solid play make it to SF.
Even though Pouille didn´t perform his best I was impressed (from what I saw) with the attacking play of Mannarino. Don´t know how Yan Bai plays, but he isn´t a big server and usually don´t outplay his opponents in China, so I don´t see him having weapons to push Mannarino too hard. 6-3 6-4 or lower for Mannarino is reasonable. I´m going with the under 19,5 games in this R.2. Allez Adrian!
