Oakland
The Angels are enjoying their longest winning streak of the season (seven games), thanks to which Los Angeles climbed on the second wild-card spot in the American League, with ½ game advantage over Houston and two games behind Texas in the race for the top spot in the AL West.

Oakland, on the other hand, is on the last spot in the AL West, with only one win in the last ten games (1-9) and with four consecutive losses away from home.

Garrett Richards (15-11 with a 3.73 ERA), who takes the mound for the Angels in the final game of this series, is coming off two straight quality starts, as the right-hander yielded 10 hits and 5 runs, despite walking eight over 15 2/3 innings in Minnesota on Sept. 19 (5-2) and against the Mariners last Friday (8-4), with fifteen strikeouts.

Richards posted a 3.05 ERA in his previous three home starts in September and is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts versus Oakland in 2015.

The right-hander has received five or more runs of support in five of his previous seven starts at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Brett Lawrie is hitting .417 (5-for-12), with two doubles, 1 RBI and two walks off Richards, Josh Reddick is 7-for-18, with three walks against him, Stephen Vogt is 4-for-12, with 2 RBI and a walk, Eric Sogard is 5-for-17, with 2 RBI and a walk, but Billy Burns, Marcus Semien, Mark Canha, Sam Fuld and Coco Crisp are a combined 6-for-33, though Burns has 1 RBI, while Crisp has 2 RBI in the matchup.

Barry Zito (0-0 with an 18.00 ERA), who will start for the A’s, gave up 6 hits and 4 runs over two innings of a 10-14 loss against the San Francisco Giants last Saturday.

Zito went 12-11 with a 4.38 ERA in thirty career starts against the Angels, as the veteran left-hander yielded 9 hits and 8 runs, with three walks over 3 1/3 innings in the last of them on June 19, 2012 (5-12), while with the Giants.

Mike Trout is 3-for-3, with two doubles off Zito, Erick Aybar is hitting. 667 (4-for-6), with a homer, 2 RBI and a walk against him, Albert Pujols is 8-for-20, with a double, 3 HR, 13 RBI and six walks, David Freese is 3-for-8, with a double, 2 RBI and a walk, Shane Victorino is 5-for-18, with three doubles, 3 RBI and four walks, while Collin Cowgill is 1-for-3 in the matchup.

I think that Los Angeles will manage to win the final game of this series with more than one run difference.
