Leicester vs Arsenal by FP

Leicester have had a great start to the Premier League season, and have carried on where they left off last season when they went on a brilliant winning run to get themselves clear of relegation. The Foxes caused controversy when dismissing Nigel Pearson after he both got them promoted and kept them in the Premier League, and also when appointing Claudio Ranieri as his replacement. The charismatic Italian certainly has the pedigree having managed Chelsea, Athletico Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan and Monaco amongst many others during his career, but his last couple of assignments did not go well – his time in charge of the Greece national team was a disaster.

Ranieri lived up to his nickname ‘the tinkerman’ when making ten changes to the starting line up for Tuesday’s Capital One match with West Ham, but the changes paid off as his team beat The Hammers 2-1 after extra time to book their place in the last 16 of the competition. His first team should be fresh after being rested for this game. Their last Premier League match saw a 2-2 draw with Stoke City, which saw Leicester come back from 2-0 down. The match before also saw Leicester have to come back from a two goal deficit to defeat Aston Villa 3-2.

Arsenal lost their last Premier League game, going down 2-0 away to Chelsea after seeing Gabriel sent off for a clash with Diego Costa, a red card which has since been rescinded allowing Gabriel to play here. Wenger will want to get back to winning ways in the Premier League and is sure to play his best line up. Coquelin is an injury doubt, and Cazorla misses out through suspension.

If Leicester fall behind as they have done in their last two matches, I don’t think they will be able to stage another comeback against a better team in Arsenal. If Arsenal can keep Mahrez quiet then their superior attacking talent should show through against a Leicester team relying on their fast paced attack to cover for a weak looking defence. Leicester will attempt to outplay Arsenal, a feat which few teams can actually complete successfully. Arsenal should control possession and will put a lot of pressure on which will force Leicester into making mistakes. Quite a few people will disagree with this considering Leicester's form, but looking at the likely tactics I can see nothing other than an Arsenal victory in this match.

If Coquelin is out, I can see them conceding at the very least 1. I'd find it hard to back Arsenal, no determination about them.

I agree they are certainly more likely to concede without Coquelin, i just have a feeling they will get the first goal and kick on from there. Best of luck whatever you back

This analysis is fair, truly if coquelin is out then Over 2.5 goals is Possible with Arsenal wins. Same as Away win with 2.5goals
