Liverpool vs Norwich by Ashjkc
So far, Liverpool has had a disastrous season (ignoring full time results) by the way they play. You cannot see that Liverpool which was destroying defenses in the Suarez era. The last 4 matches has seen Liverpool failing to win. The problem is the lack of risk taking and too slow paced games. With the exception of the Arsenal match (and perhaps the Manchester United match), Liverpool tends to keep possession of the ball without real attacking motive. Lack of key players are perhaps the reason for this: absence of Sturridge, Suarez going and mythical captain Gerrard going.
However, some recent events will show some enthusiasm. Coutinho is coming back from suspension and has proved several times that he's a world class player. He's the pivot of this team. The likes of Milner and Firminho will also be present even if the captain Henderson will not play due to injury. The manager Rodgers has recently stated that he will play a back-in-form Liverpool which will take risk. By this, I can deduct he will play a team which is similar to end of 2013/14 season where even the defense will contribute in attack, where the main man is Lallana or Benteke.
The recent head to heads are quite impressive in terms of goals, but beware, most of them were due to the Suarez effect. However, it does not mean that there will be no goals galore tonight!
The Canaries are usually risk taking players, with a very fast tempo game play. That means they can easily breakthrough counter-attacks and at least score a goal, with the current issue in the Liverpool defense and the (perhaps) new risk taking system. I would opt for lots of opportunities, plenty of corners, goal opportunities and perhaps a final score of 3-1 for Liverpool.
You could also try betting on over 10 corners and both teams to score.
However my main bet remains over 2.5 goals offered at 1.83 by Bet365
