Bury vs Port Vale by TFB

Newly promoted Bury will host Port Vale at Gigg Lane looking to continue their run of good form after experiencing 3 successive wins with the home side looking up towards the play-off while the away side, currently in 14th position, are looking down the table.

Bury have had 2 fantastic away wins leading up to this game. Firstly they defeated the league leaders Walsall 1-0 and then dispatched the title favourites Sheffield United 2-1. The Shakers' form and confidence couldn't be better currently as they look for their first home win of the season.

Bury Team News: Andrew Tutte, Kelvin Etuhu, Ryan Lowe, Danny Nardiello and Keil O’Brien will all be missing with arguably Nardiello the only big miss. Tom Pope, who signed for Bury on a free transfer from Port Vale will play and no doubt relish this chance to score against his old club. Pope already has 3 goals this season and he was a big player for Vale last season.

The away side come into this match on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Millwall, a side who have found League One tough since their relegation from the Championship last season. Vale are still without an away this season with a 0-2-1 record.

Port Vale Team News: The Valiants should be able to field a first team as they have no major injury worries.

If results go Bury's way, they could find themselves in a play-off spot come the end of the day.
