South Africa vs Japan by Silky Tips

On first glance people who do not have in depth rugby knowledge will think this bet is a bit risky however it will most certainly be receiving a full stake from me.

Japan under Eddie Jones has been transformed dramatically as a rugby nation. Their ability to put phases together has been of most note. Referees and commentators who have been covering their matches have all reported this vast improvement back and I fancy this bet to come off. South Africa will win, and with some comfort, but the team selection by Eddie Jones says it all. They have a clash against Scotland after South Africa, which is a much more likely scalp for them and in the past they would have rested players and taken the loss against SA in the hope they could get something from the weaker team in the group, not this time. Jones said he went full strength as there is a slight chance of an upset and to give his players the cofidence that they can make the step up.

Japan will come out full of passion and energy. South Africa will be well aware of the potential humiliatiing banana skin and will kick there points early on to ensure they keep the score board ticking. This is why I have selected the first half handicap rather than the entire match they will hope to have the game burried by 60mins and therefore start trying to take the tries rather than kicks and thats when the gap can widen.

The Japanese should be able to stay within 20 points of the Spring Boks in the opening 40. GL
