Espanyol vs Real Madrid by Garc1
No need to say about real´s quality and looking the stats we can see that the Madrid side has clear advantage and the last games ended in a 100% victories for the formation Of the Spanish capital city and the last defeat against espanyol was 8 years ago...
After a uncharacteristic draw against Gijon ,Real defeated betis by 5-0 at home and we can take some key conclusions:
1st-Real is defending well and didn’t allow any goals from the other teams.
2nd-Ronaldo didn’t score any goal so far.
For the first part, Real is defending well but i think that Espanyol is a better side than those 2 that real faced so far, and there’s is the fact that Espanyol is from Barcelona so a big rivalry is always present.
For the second part, Ronaldo didn’t score yet and i think that he is a little out of form. We all know Ronaldo ability and skills, we all know that he is very determined and resilient, a true professional and is just a matter of time that he starts to score over and over and over again.
Espanyol seems to be a little bit fragile at this point, despite opening the last game against villareal saw the advantage slip away in the second half, conceding 3 goals with no response.
Even if they did a good result against villareal they are still underdogs against Real(...who isn´t??) so the fact That they conceded 3 goals in the last match is pointless.
So...Real as big advantage in espanyol field during the last 8 years and Ronaldo is only 10 goals of reaching the prize of best scorer ever for Real Madrid, something pretty amazing because Real had allways in their history the best players in the world, and Ronaldo beating all the best players in the world that played in Real Madrid is quite an incredible achievement.
So my choice goes for C.Ronaldo to score at any time because the talent is there, the will is there, the quality of the team is there and he scores the penalties and free kicks of Real.
