Millot vs Nils Langer by Bulan20

R.2 in St Remy Challenger between Vincent Millot and Nils Langer.

Homeplayer Millot, #174, 29 y.o plays ITF, CH and qualifies to the bigger tournaments. He has his best result from HC and a 10/4 record this year. Have been playing sparingly this year compared to other at the same level. Won the Granby title back in July beating Bester in the final. Lost in Q.2 to US Open against J-P Smith. In R.1 here in St Remy Millot won against A.Muller #846 with 7-5 6-7 6-4 having a surprisingly hard time in his own serve and in the rallies. Up and down player that can push ~#100 players at his best but also get pushed by players way down on the ranking.

Langer, german, 25 y.o, ranked 209. Similar level as Millot, playing more on clay then the frenchman. Also played sparingly with few tournaments these last months. Have a 4/6 record this year on HC and 23/18 overall. Have a final spot in a CH on clay back in July as best result this year. Tried qualifying to Open but lost in Q.2 against A.Zverev 6-4 6-7 6-3. In St Remy he won R.1 against Chiudinelli comfortable with 6-2 6-3.

Langer is a big guy at 193 cm and won a lot in his own serve against Chiudinelli. Millot is more of allround player with solid groundstrokes and good movement. Millot is the better HC player but I think they are close in their play. Think this one will come down to form of the day and right now I think Langer is the better of the two.
