As it was expected before the start of the season, CSKA Moscow started the new campaign in a good form: the hosts managed to win five of their previous six games in the league and lost only once in this period (0-3 in the visit to Jokerit on Aug. 29).
CSKA Moscow is well balanced team, with a solid defense (1.50 goals per game) and a powerful attack (3.50 goals per game) and what is even more important for my bet: the hosts rarely make mistakes at home, where they have won thirty six of their last 43 games (32-4-1-6 155/65), including each of their previous four games this season against Spartak Moscow (5-2), Dinamo Riga (5-0), Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk (4-1) and Tractor Chelyabinsk (3-0).
Unlike CSKA Moscow, Salavat Ufa is a team with obvious problems at the start of the new campaign, as the guests lost four of their previous five games in the league, including both away games in this period in Omsk (2-4 vs. Avangard) and Astana (3-5 vs. Barys).
In the matter of fact, it was somehow expected, given the fact that Salavat Ufa made some changes in the management this summer, the guests have new head coach in Anatoly Emelin and several important players left the club during the break.
Of course, Salavat Ufa is still a team with enough potential to find a place among the first eight teams in the Eastern Conference, but is obvious, that the current situation is entirely in favor of the home team.
I think that CSKA Moscow will manage to win that game with more than one goal difference.
